So life has been crazy lately! I have hardly had a chance to breathe let alone blog. Friday morning I got a call informing me of a teacher passing. This teacher worked in the school I was laid off from. They wanted to know if I would come up there and take over his class on MONDAY. There was no doubt in my mind that I would like to do it, but so many things that I now had to figure out. Who would watch my child, how I was going to start planning for a classroom in the middle of the year? It is now an hour drive from my house in good weather so I spend about 12 hours a day away from my son. There are a lot of changes that aren't exactly easy ones. I spent my first week with the students and can already tell it is going to be a good end of the year. Now...it is just time to figure out where they left off in the curriculum (not an easy task) and where to go from there.
All of my wonderful projects I got started the week before this news are still sitting in my basement waiting to be finished. It was like a pregnancy nesting experience. Getting all of my creativity/ built up ideas out before I had to take care of all 26 of my children. Tehe. Maybe hubby will help me finish them today?!?!
